While preparing these challenges I was struck by how a little background makes for a more interesting article. Each challenge is, therefore, themed around a notable Formula 1 driver who died, mostly too young and mostly while plying their trade. Their stories are worth reading, regardless of whether you decide to participate by posting times.
The usual way offline challenges work is that times are posted and setups, too, if desired, in reply to the thread. There is no “leaderboard” to be compiled and it’s up to you.
All members of Forza Center are of course free to start new threads with challenges of their own choosing, themed or not.
I hope you enjoy the challenges and I hope you learn a little along the way – I’d never heard of Jochen Rindt before and yet I can’t help but think he’s been unfairly forgotten, and so I reserved the fastest class for him!
Naturally I stole my information from various websites, so please let me know if you spot any mistakes.
