I've been on xlink for about a month now, and I have noticed that some cars have been exhibiting strange “voodoo sh!t” behaviour. By this I mean veering wildly from side to side and crashing of the track then zipping back on side wards without losing position. I have even seen what can only be described as time travel, one guy was parked up half a lap behind me, then teleported in front of me?!?!?!? Though mildly distracting, my main concern is that the knowledge do this exists, AND I DO NOT POSSES IT! Being of an enquiring mind, so to speak, I would appreciate it if anyone would be prepared to impart with any forbidden knowledge regarding what I have seen. If this info is of a top secret nature and not fit to be bandied about on the forum, please feel free to email me! If how ever I have repeatedly imagined this, please tell me so that I can call my psychiatrist, get back on the psychotropic’s and lay down on the couch and tell her how the world “just went all funny and wrong” again. Cheers!

thats very easy to explain...the phenomenon is known as Lag
it happens often online, and often on kai........it happens when the pings of the individuals goes "bad" which means that the game cannot update the position of the other cars correctly due to "slow transferrate"
its particular annoying when it happens in a race with collision....that can smash your car "if you drive with full simulation" without the other car is smashed........or has anything to do with it.
so you are not seeing things, it happens in other games too....mostly when your competing with a full "grid"
in halo you can see it by people suddenly not being there where you think they were, or getting killed by someone you never saw....... or my favourite(all time most hated) when the game makes you run the same way you already ran 4 times...... so you basically never know where you are and when you should turn or jump in order to get where you want to go..........GREAT!!!
in forza with collisions off lag is not so bad.........sometimes (not often) it glitches so it thinks that the guy actually behind you, is in front by one lap.........and has run over the finish line......
so you cannot finish......eventho you are first(due to the 30 sec DNF rule)
hope the little explanation helps
Jake~
