I drive a 1995 Rover 218 SLD Turbo, 1800cc Peugeout XUD engine which has done 130,000 miles and still runs like new It's in white so keeping it clean is quite difficult, especially as I live on a main road to a city. Really reliable and cheap to run so I can't complain.

Pretty neat and steady car. It has a peugeot engine ? Is swapping engine a common practice in UK ? Because here in Singapore you cant really swap your car engine freely, you will need alot of paper works to change your baby's heart.

It's not an engine swap mate, it's factory fitted, it's common practice for most car makers to source engines and other components from different companies. Rover used to use many companies for engines, most common is Honda (who owned Rover for quite some time) and Peugeout (whos Diesel engines used to be very good).

I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. Very happy w/it! I paid $5000 for it b/c the motor was blown (the guy upped the boost and blew) so I got it, put a brand new 4g63 in, took 2 months since I didn't know what I was doing and 1.5 years later, its still strong!
