About a week ago i finally got myself an xbox360 and joined live for the first time while i was doing it. Now i really want to play Forza Motorsport on xbox live, but i will need to start all over again as i can't use xbox 360 live subscription on the old xbox plus old xbox is modded anyway. Is there anyway i can transfer my Forza Motorsport game save over to my Xbox 360 so i can play on live? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I wouldn't think it was possible at all, Forza was designed to NOT save to memory devices other than the HDD on Xbox. I know there are tools for resigning the HDD number to a new save game, but that would still prove impossible (at least I think so) due to not being able to get the HDD number from your 360 HDD. I think you really have NO alternative but to do what the rest of us have done so far, start fresh, at least now you will have a better idea of which cars are best and which classes etc...........not much help but sadly thats the way it is with Forza

like joker says, its not possible to transfer the save it self.
but you can get your cars on the 360 by simply making a buy and sell and transfer the cars between the 2 units.
thats what I did anyways...
Jake~
PS: but to be honest, then forza is better on kai than on xbox live IMO anyways

I liked playing it on Kai... but since i haven't been able to get kai up and running i kind of gave up on the idea. Oh well, guess it's either time to start over, or just try and figure this kai problem out lol

Forza on Live is very very poor indeed, crappy sounds which can get stuck (imagine someone over-revving a car right next to you all through the race, or constant tyre sqeals, even though your on your own away from the others), poor collision detection (not good unless collisions are off) and general laggy feelings to the graphics, like Jake says the Xlink-kai way is far more superior to Live with respect to Forza.

Well, i think i might need to give setting up kai on the old xbox an other go. It's most frustrating now as Xbox Live worked like a charm to get up...
I'll put some more work into ironing out the issues tomorrow. I've asked for help on several different forums and it still refuses to work. Sucks really, and pisses me off big time!

I'll put some more work into ironing out the issues tomorrow. I've asked for help on several different forums and it still refuses to work. Sucks really, and pisses me off big time! I know you said that your cable was 100% crossover.....bbbuuuuttt (don't mean to offend you here either) you are actually sure? If you have Live setup on the 360 using an ethernet and 2nd NIC then obviously all is OK with the settings for the IP etc, so there can't be any fault there. The only thing I can think of is the cable might not be a crossover or damaged in some way. Your Xbox modded or unmodded doesn't need any specific settings to connect to Xlink-kai, your NIC must be set for ICS (which it must be for the 360 to be working on Live), Firewall must have exceptions permitted for the Xlink-Kai program and also the NIC. In the Kai-Config tool have you entered the ports for Kai port and Kai deep ports? Taken from Team Xlink FAQ - Software Firewalls (ZoneAlarm, Protowall, Norton Internet Security etc..) If you have installed a software firewall on your computer, chances are that it will block XLink Kai. We strongly suggest consulting manufacturer / developer documentation and taking the following tips into account:
• For XBox users, allow the IP address 0.0.0.1 full access on UDP port 3074. • Reduce the intensity of the protection ie. 'Medium' instead of 'High' • If you were required to perform a port-forward, make sure you allow unrestricted access on this port within your firewall configuration. • If you are still experiencing problems, search our Official XLink Forums.
Note: It is not recommended, but you may have to disable your firewall when you want to play on XLink Kai. I get network not reachable / I can't see or host any games, but my console says configured correctly..Double check Diagnostics Mode (you must press the icon, then the icon) and have a look if Network Reachable still reports as 'Not Yet'. If it does, you didn't port-forward as instructed in Step 5 of the Quick Start Guide. More details on how to portforward are available in the FAQ (section 2.0 Networking and Firewall Questions).
Note: Remember to put the port number you forward into the 'Kai Port' box in the Kai Configuration Tool. Leave 'Kai Deep Port' as 0!
I'm unsure of your exact problem mate, but will try and help all I can to get you up and running over Xlink-Kai so that you can enjoy Forza online in a way that 360 and XBL could only dream of.

Thanks for your help mate. I'll try and provide further information as best i can. My cable is a cross over cable. I am 100% sure. I have a full cross-over cable, and also have a normal cable + cross over cable combo. I have tried both and neither has changed things. Yet previously both have worked for x link kai. I even went and got a new cable with no luck I don't think the firewall is the issue with this, as i have tried it with firewall + antivirus running, with one or both dissabled, and even with both uninstalled. Yet still the situation remains the same. Previously i have been able to do a port forward on my ADSL modem to get things working right, but now i'm on cable, that's not an option as there is no firwall or software of anykind that is accessable or editable on the modem. I loved playing on x-link kai, especially with forza for the drifting aspect when people were online. I feel i have tried everything that i know of, but just can't get things sorted. I'm going to re install everthing, and trial all the cables again to see if i've missed something along the way. I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks heaps for the help and support. I appreciate it

"• For XBox users, allow the IP address 0.0.0.1 full access on UDP port 3074."
Ok i've re installed and all of that, and just added that port full access using my firewall. How do i allow that ip address full access? All i could find was just opening up the port? Maybe thats where i've gone wrong by not allowing the ip access, and just the port instead?
